The Big Trail Challenge (hereinafter referred as BTC), is a registered trademark of MUNE - Motorcycle Unique Experiences, Lda (Hereinafter referred to as MUNE), company based at Herdade do Zambujeiro, 17 - Santo Estevão, Portugal, with a shared capital of € 20,000, registered at the Commercial Registration Office of Lisbon with the unique registration number and legal person number 518 896 374.
The present genera terms & conditions are complemented by the particular terms & conditions of participation included in this website which the customer subscribes, prevailing the particular terms & conditions over the general ones in case of divergence.

1. REGISTRATIONS
1.1. Registration on a trip will be considered accepted after completing the respective form online, together with the payment of 50% of the full price as described in the page "prices & conditions" of this website.
1.2. At the time of registration, the client:
1.2.1. Acknowledge and accepts the present general terms & conditions, as well as the particular terms & conditions of participation for the trip in which he/she is registering;
1.2.2. Declares that it is in good health conditions to participate in the event in which he /she is registering, assumes responsibility and accepts the possibility of taking risks inherent to the nature of the event, namely those resulting from the impossibility of immediate access to medical care in case of injury of health issues;
1.2.3. It declares that he / she is aware of the type of physical, cultural and psychological requirements that the trip involves, which may lead to unforeseen situations, including personal and material damage, illness, setbacks and discomfort.
1.3. It accepts that MUNE can group, in pairs, by gender and in chronological order of registration, the clients who register individually for the same event without paying the single room supplement or when in exceptional cases, providing a single room is not possible;
1.4. Acknowledges that is accountable to pay the remainder of the price of the trip (50%) up to 60 days before the scheduled departure date. If the registration occurs within 60 days or less from the date of departure, the total price of the trip must be paid immediately at the time of registration, which remains conditional upon obtaining confirmation of the reservation by all providers of services;
1.5. MUNE reserves the right to cancel any registration whose payment has not been made under the above conditions, subject to expenses and charges that may occur.
2. DOCUMENTATION
2.1. The Client must have valid personal and motorcycle documents, as described in section "The challenge from A to Z" of this website.
2.2. In case of missing documents, MUNE does not assume any responsibility for the refusal to provide an entry permit in a foreign country, including any inherent costs.
3. RESPONSIBILITY
The liability of MUNE included in this program and arising from the obligations assumed is guaranteed by a civil liability insurance, with a guaranteed amount of 75,000 euros, in accordance with existing European legislation.
4. PRICES
4.1. The prices of the event are based on, among other factors, the costs of the services and the exchange rates prevailing at the date indicated in this program and are therefore subject to change resulting from changes in the cost of fuel or transportation, exchange rates fluctuations and taxes. The price of the trip includes the Value Added Tax (VAT) in force, whenever it is due.
4.2. In face of a change in the price of the trip, the client shall be informed immediately, and the latter may, within the period stipulated thereafter, accept the increase or cancel its registration under the conditions established in point 9.
6.5. If the client wish and it is possible to stay in a single room, this has an added value according with the section "Prices & Conditions" of this website.
5. AMENDMENTS
5.1. If a client who is registered for a particular trip wishes to change his / her subscription to another trip or to a different date, if such a change is possible, he / she will pay a supplement of 150€ to cover change expenses. However, where the change takes place within 30 days or less from the departure date of the trip, he shall be subject to the conditions defined in the point 9.
5.2.For reasons that justify it, MUNE is allowed to change the order of the routes, or to replace any of the hotels provided by others of the same category, without the client being entitled to any compensation or reimbursement.
6. REFUNDS
During the trip:
6.1. No refund is due for scheduled services not used by the client;
6.2. Failure to provide services scheduled for travel for causes not attributable to MUNE, and if it is not possible to replace them with similar ones, gives the client the right to be reimbursed for the difference between the price of scheduled services and those actually provided.
7. TRANSFER OF THE REGISTRATION
7.1. The client may transfer his / her registration and be replaced by another person who fulfils all the conditions required to participate in the event, as long as he / she informs MUNE at least 60 days in advance of the departure date and that the different providers of the services accept the replacement, otherwise it will be considered that the customer has withdrawn from the trip in accordance with conditions defined in point 9.
7.2. The transferor and the transferee are jointly and severally liable for payment of the price of the trip and for the additional charges eventually incurred.
8. IMPOSSIBLE TO COMPLY

8.1. If, prior to the start of the trip, MUNE is unable to fulfil essential services mentioned in the program of the trip chosen, the client has the right to withdraw from the trip, being immediately reimbursed of all the amounts paid;
8.2. If, in face of events that are not attributable to MUNE, this leads to the cancellation of the trip, the client may choose to be reimbursed of all the amounts paid or change his registration for another date; The respective adjustment in price can be done by MUNE, depending on if trip chosen has a higher or a lower price;
8.4. If the minimum number of 30 participants registered for the trip is not met, MUNE is entitled to cancel the trip up to 30 days before departure and will reimburse the client for all the amounts paid, without any further responsibility.
9. WITHDRAWALS
If the client withdraws from the trip up to 91 days before the departure date, the amounts already paid will be reimbursed in full.
If the client withdraws from the trip up to 61 days before departure, he / she is accountable to pay all costs incurred by MUNE.
If the client withdraws from the trip within the 60 days before departure, no reimbursement of payments will be done by MUNE.​

10. EXCLUSION OF THE EVENT
The client acknowledges that the management of the event as the right and authority to exclude any participant of the event withour the right to any reimbursement, in cases where its behaviour jeopardises his/her's safety or the safety of any other participant.
11. COMPLAINTS

11.1. Complaints submitted in writing to MUNE where the registration and payment of the trip have been made can only be considered within a period not exceeding 30 days after the end of the service provided;
11.2. Any conflict arising from this service agreement shall be settled by the Judicial Court of the Region of Lisbon, with express waiver of any other and for all matters not regulated by these General Conditions of Participation, the Portuguese Law shall apply.
